Parents of Preschoolers

Communities for Kids is currently working towards forming a Parents of Preschoolers group (parents of children birth-5 years old). We hope to see this group connect families, provide simple learning activities for parents to do with their birth-5 children, and provide a variety of activities and topics on the subject of early childhood.

Parents of Preschoolers met on 03/22/22 with an Italian meal followed by a guest speaker from the University of Nebraska Extension services –
Holly Hatton-Bower presented on ”Screen Time for Young Children”

Parents of Preschoolers met on 4/19/22 for a light dinner and a presentation from Darcy Carey, the early childhood special education teacher with Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools. Darcy presented on Social/Emotional Behaviors of Young Children with Strategies to help children manage their behaviors. Each family left with a “Calm Down” box they can use with their children.
